You’ve Got to Spend Money to Make Money

I know, I know.

No one wants to hear it. Yet there's so much truth to it.

You really DO need to spend money to make money.

It's a hard pill to swallow ... especially if you're just starting out or struggling to make ends meet.

Finances may be tight.

I get it. I’ve been there before, myself.

And I, too, held off for quite some time on the things I ought to have sprung for a long time ago.

Things like handy software tools and apps, webinars and conferences … and yes, even coaching.

I’m here to beg of you: Please learn from my mistakes.

These things are frickin’ LIFESAVERS!

If you want to get ahead, you've got to:

  • Invest in yourself and your business.

  • Treat your business like a business, not like a hobby.

  • And find the money and resources to do the things you want to do.

So, how do you get there?

Start by making a plan. Set aside savings from every paycheck. Ditch the fancy coffee. Get a part-time job.

Do. Whatever. It. Takes.

It’s truly a mindset shift. Going from a fixed mindset to a GROWTH mindset.

This is how you change. This is where the magic occurs!

When you change your mindset, you change the situation. You change the outcome.

Think, to yourself: What will make your life easier? What can help you reach your goals of being a successful freelancer or solopreneur?

Start budgeting. And consider the following options:

  • a professionally designed logo & brand

  • professionally designed business cards & website

  • membership in a professional organization

  • exhibiting in a trade show

  • a social media scheduling tool

  • accounting software

  • CRM software

  • an email marketing platform

  • project management software

  • webinars & presentations

  • courses & conferences

  • business coaching

Whether you’ve landed here by choice or by default (you quit your job or were let go), the faster you can find success and earn what you want to earn is, of course, the end-all-be-all goal.

So, do what you've got to do to help propel your business forward.

Invest NOW so you can get ahead quicker and easier.

Take control of your business. Make a conscious decision to help shape your future.

It all starts with you.
